Love this, Lauren! You are a force, don't forget that. I too started chiropractic work a few years ago - with a Network Chiropractic practitioner, which is more energy-focused and quieter adjustments - and it has changed my life and health for the better. You might feel a bit weird after the treatments at times, but when the adjustments settle in, it's amazing. So happy to read this! :-)

I think we are of an age where the years we spent ignoring our bodies are finally coming due. I too have been experimenting with a gluten and lactose free diet (in my case, as part of a low FODMAP diet) and I'm founding it profoundly amazing what an impact it's having on my energy levels, my sleep and my mood. I hope the eating changes and chiropractic adjustments have similarly significant impacts on you!

Welcome back, my friend. Huge congrats on all your dream chasing and listening to your gut. This made me smile rather largely: "a writer who pursues only what she is interested in pursuing."

You are awesome xo

My chiropractor also changed my life by telling me about my inflammation (which I was finally ready to take action on). I was ready to do ANYTHING he recommended. He said no gluten, on dairy and no sugar. I know it sounds like a massive change -- and it is -- but it was surprisingly easy because the benefits were so vast that I would never go back. My spine is SO MUCH better and I am no longer bloated. I hope its the same for you, though I note sugar is not on your list of things to cut out. I can have maple syrup, dark chocolate and a little honey. Sorting that out also totally relieved anxiety that I had no idea was linked to my gut. There's a reason why they call the gut the second brain. I also have more energy for exercise and I sleep better.
